Q: How long does it take to receive my gate?

A: Once an order is placed, installation will occur approximately 2-4 weeks from that point. Factors such as change of design, masonry work, H.O.A. approval, or construction may extend delivery date.

Q: What finish do you offer?

A: All iron work has a powder coat finish. All iron is cleaned with phosphoric acid prior to powder coating and primer is applied previous to powder coating on all layered surfaces to help resist rust.

Q: Will the powder coating prevent rust?

A: Powder coating is the best product available on the market to deter rust. However, there is no way to completely prevent rust with exposure to the elements. In welded joints and layered areas, rust is more likely to occur first.

Q: What kind of warranty is provided?

A: Great Gates offers a full one year warrantee on all parts and labor. We do not offer a warrantee on natural wood products.

Q: What type of wood do you offer?

A: Because we are a custom fabrication shop, we will work with any wood on a special order basis, though we do not offer warrantee on natural wood products. We offer a synthetic wood product that we highly recommend. It is available in four colors: Coastal Cedar, Sequoia Red, Driftwood Gray, and Dark Walnut. This product is made of 100% recycled materials; will not split, chip or degrade and is 100% maintenance free.

Q: Do you fix or alter existing gates?

A: No, we do not service or alter gates we did not manufacture. We do offer a warrantee and continued service on gates we did fabricate.
